Commissioning an Original Artwork

I love collaborating with collectors to create a unique piece that captures a special memory, place, moment, or feeling. My paintings are inspired by the joy of everyday life: shared meals, celebrations, seaside moments, colourful gatherings, and the beauty found in simple experiences.

Every commission is a collaboration, and I am always excited to hear your ideas and learn more about the story behind the artwork you would like me to create.

The Commission Process

1. Initial Consultation

To begin, please send me any reference images and information you would like me to consider, including:

• Preferred size

• Colour palette (if applicable)

• Subject matter

• Any special requests or meaningful details you would like included

Once I have reviewed the information, I will provide a quotation. Once agreed I will send an invoice for the deposit.

2. Deposit & Booking

A 50% deposit is required to secure your commission and allow work to begin.

The remaining 50% balance is due once the artwork is completed and before shipping/delivery.

Shipping costs and any applicable import taxes or customs fees are quoted separately and must be paid by the client.

Work will commence once the deposit has been received.

3. Concept & Approval

Before beginning the final painting, I will prepare a rough sketch and colour palette for your approval.

This stage is an opportunity to discuss any adjustments or concerns before painting begins. It is important that any requested changes are made at this stage, as significant alterations become much more difficult once the painting is underway.

My aim is always to create a piece you will love, while remaining true to my artistic style and creative process.

4. Painting

Once the sketch and colour palette have been approved, I will begin painting.

Please allow approximately 2–4 months for completion, depending on the size and complexity of the commission and my current schedule.

Artworks evolve naturally throughout the painting process, and I kindly ask clients to trust the creative journey as the piece comes to life.

5. Completion & Delivery

Once the artwork is finished, I will share photographs of the completed piece with you.

If we are both happy with the final result, the remaining balance will be due and I will arrange professional packaging and shipment.

Your artwork will then begin its journey to its new home.

A Note About My Style

When commissioning a painting, you are choosing my artistic interpretation as much as the subject itself.

I will always carefully consider your ideas and preferences, but the final artwork will be created in my distinctive style, using my own creative judgement, colour choices, and painterly approach.
